(East-Hawkesbury, ON) On November 15th, 2013, in the Municipality of East-Hawkesbury, while on patrol shortly after 1 pm on Highway 417, OPP Constable Luc Lécuyer observed a black 2003 Mazda traveling at 165 km/h in a posted 100 km/h zone. The vehicle was subsequently intercepted.
The driver, Kelen CHARLOTTE (63 yrs) of Hudson, Qc, was charged with section 172 of the Ontario Highway Traffic Act for Race a motor vehicle.
The vehicle was seized and impounded for 7 days.
The drivers’ licence was also seized and suspended for 7 days.
The accused is scheduled to appear at the L’Orignal Court on December 5th
