(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County detachment investigated an assault at a Talbot Road, Delhi, Norfolk County, Ontario address.
On Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at approximately 4:26 p.m., police were contacted by a concerned resident reporting an assault at the Dell Motel.
Through the course of investigation, it was determined that a male attended the address and knocked on the door and then forced his way into the motel room. Once inside, the male proceeded to assault the occupant before fleeing from the room. He was last seen running eastbound from the area.
As a result, police have identified the suspect as 23-year-old Justin Ronald James VANASSCHE of Norfolk County, Ontario. He is described as a white male, 5’5” tall, 122 lbs, thin build, with blue eyes and light brown hair.
VANASSCHE is currently wanted for Assault, Break and Enter and Disguise with intent.
On Friday, February 3, 2017, VANASSCHE attended the Norfolk County detachment where he was taken into custody without incident.
He is to appear in Provincial Court, Simcoe at a later date to answer to the charges.
