(IGNACE, ON) – On Saturday November 12, 2016 at approximately 11:35 pm, a member of the Saugeen First Nation Police conducted a traffic stop on Bucke Street in the Community of Savant Lake.
As a result of the investigation, Joyce MEDICINE (51 years old) of Saugeen First Nation has been charged with Impaired operation of a motor vehicle contrary to section 253(1) (a) of the Criminal Code along with Operate a motor vehicle with over 80 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood contrary to section 253(1) (b) of the Criminal Code. MEDICINE has been released from custody and will appear in court in Ignace on February 1, 2017 to answer to the charges.
