(SOUTHWEST MIDDLESEX, ON)- On Saturday August 24, 2013 at 11:45 p.m. members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to an assault complaint on the 100 block of Wellington Street, Southwest Middlesex. Police were advised that there was a fight in progress and one male was injured.
Upon arrival officers located a male victim who sustained serious head injuries as a result of the altercation. Police learned that the suspect had fled the scene prior to police arrival, but both parties were known to each other. The victim was transported to a local hospital by Middlesex-London Emergency Medical Services with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
As a result of an investigation police have charged Joshua ROCK, age 22 of Southwest Middlesex with one count of Assault Causing Bodily Harm as per Section 267(b) of the Criminal Code. The accused was released from police custody by-way of a Promise to Appear (PTA) and is scheduled to appear in a London Court room on October 3, 2013 to speak to the charges.
