(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment investigated a collision at a Queensway West, Simcoe, Norfolk County, Ontario, address.
On Sunday, May 29, 2016 at approximately 12:36 a.m., OPP and Norfolk County Paramedics responded to a collision involving two motor vehicles.
Through the course of investigation, it was determined that a vehicle was being operated by a 34-year-old male with a 60-year-old male passenger and were travelling eastbound on Queensway West when it struck the rear of another vehicle that was stopped at the intersection of Queen Street North.
The 60-year-old passenger suffered serious non-life threatening injuries and was transported to a local area hospital for treatment.
The driver, a 65-year-old female and 66-year-old male passenger of the second vehicle did not sustain any injuries.
As a result of investigation, police have charged 34-year-old Jordon CHILDS of Norfolk County, Ontario with driving while ability impaired causing bodily harm and driving over the legal limit.
He is to appear in Provincial Court, Simcoe at a later date to answer to the charges.
