(ORILLIA, ON) – Over the past long weekend, the Orillia Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received 257 calls for service. Police respond to calls received from Severn Township, Ramara Township and the City of Orillia. The time frame is from Friday night at 6:00 p.m. until Tuesday morning at 6:00 a.m.
There were various calls for service consisting of noise complaints, 911 hang-ups, motor vehicle collisions, domestic/family disputes, marine complaints, theft complaints, Liquor Licence Act complaints, alarms and animal complaints.
On August 31, 2013 at approximately 1:50 a.m., Orillia OPP responded to complaints of a disturbance at Westmount Drive South and Cindy Lee Crescent. When officers arrived at the scene they heard yelling coming from a Cindy Lee Crescent address. On attending officers dealt with two intoxicated males who became assaultive and resisted arrest.
Jordan MONTGOMERY, 23 years old of Orillia and Samuel MONTGOMERY, 20 years old of Orillia have each been charged with the following offences:
Obstruct Police
Assault with Intent to Resist Arrest
Both males were released on a Promise to Appear and both have court dates in Orillia on October 22, 2013.
