(SOUTH PORCUPINE) – An officer with the South Porcupine Ontario Provincial Police has charged a Timmins man with Driving Under Suspension stemming from a routine traffic stop on October 4th, 2013.
The OPP officer had occasion to stop the driver of a 2009 GMC SUV for an alleged traffic violation on Hwy 101 west of Timmins.
Based on the routine investigative steps taken by the OPP officer, it was determined that the driver is currently under suspension in the province of Ontario.
Jonathan DESCHENES, 24, of Timmins, Ontario, has been charged with Driving While Under Suspension contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.
DESCHENES is required to attend Provincial Court in Timmins on November 14th to answer to the charge laid against him.
The vehicle was driven from the scene by a licenced driver.
