(COLLINGWOOD, ON) Officers from the Collingwood and The Blue Mountains detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charged a male motorist with impaired driving charges after police received a traffic complaint in Collingwood.
On the 23rd of November 2015 shortly before 10:00am OPP officers were dispatched to a possible impaired driver in the area of Highway 26 and Balsam Street in Collingwood. Officers subsequently located the vehicle in a parking lot on Balsam Street where it became evident that the male driver was under the influence of alcohol. This led to the motorist being arrested and transported to detachment for processing.
Charged is 51 year-old John COCHRAN of The Blue Mountains, he is facing charges of driving a motor vehicle with more than 80 milligrams of alcohol in blood and driving a motor vehicle while ability impaired by alcohol. He is to appear in Collingwood court on the 15th of December 2015.
