(GUELPH-ERAMOSA TOWNSHIP, ON) – On November 10, 2014 at approximately 7:01 a.m., members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting stationary radar and monitoring traffic on Wellington Road 124 in a posted 50 km/h zone due to several speed related complaints in that area.
At this time and location police observed a south bound motor vehicle travelling at a speed well above the posted speed limit. The 2003 Chevrolet was clocked on radar at 110 km/h in a 50 km/h zone.
The driver’s licence and vehicle were seized for a period of 7 days as per statute.
Jeremiah MACKENZIE age 22 of Southgate Township has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. He is to appear in Guelph Provincial Court on December 17, 2014 to answer to the charge.
