(CRAMAHE TOWNSHIP, ON) Northumberland Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a single vehicle roll-over collision on Tuesday April 22, 2014.
At approximately 11:43 pm on Tuesday, a westbound 2007 GMC Sierra pickup truck was involved in a roll-over collision ending in the north ditch on County Road 2 near Barnes Road in Cramahe Township. OPP officers started an investigation into the collision and the sobriety of the male driver. The male passenger of the truck was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Jayson Edward DITMARS, age 22 from Brighton, Ontario has been charged with one count of driving with more than 80 milligrams of alcohol in blood under the Criminal Code. The accused was released on a promise to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Brighton on Tuesday May 6, 2014 at 9:30 am. He was also issued a 90 driver’s licence suspension.
Impaired driving remains the leading cause of criminal death in Canada and has been identified as one of four main factors of death and injury on Ontario roads.
