Jason WEIR – Drunk Driving

(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON) – Officers from the City of Kawartha Lakes detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested two drivers this weekend for alcohol related driving offences.

The first driver was stopped on Friday October 21, 2016 at approximately 6:30pm on Highway 35 north of Lindsay, to investigate a Highway Traffic Act infraction. Following an investigation, Jason WEIR, 39 years of age of Lindsay, was arrested and charged with Driving With More than 80 mg of Alcohol in 100 ml of Blood contrary to section 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code of Canada. The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay.

The second driver was arrested, following an investigation on Saturday October 22, 2016 at approximately 3pm. Andy PRICE, 34 years of age of Omemee, was charged with the following offences:

Driving While Ability Impaired by Alcohol contrary to section 253(1)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada (CCC)

Driving With More than 80 mg of Alcohol in 100 ml of Blood contrary to section 253(1)(b) of the CCC

Fail to Remain contrary to section 200(1)(a) of the Highway Traffic Act

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay.
