INVESTIGATION LEADS TO NUMEROUS CHARGES

(KIRKLAND LAKE, ON.) – Members of the Kirkland Lake Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a man and a Youth with numerous criminal offences. The charges stem from an intensive investigation into break and enters and thefts of motor vehicles in the King Kirkland and Kirkland Lake area. The majority of the stolen property was recovered during the course of the investigation. These incidents occurred during the months of August and September 2014.

Charged with nine counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000, six counts of Theft of a Motor Vehicle, four counts of Break Enter a Place and Commit an Indictable Offence, Break Enter a Dwelling House and Commit an Indictable Offence, Theft Under $5,000 from a Motor Vehicle and Failure to Comply with Disposition is a Youth. The Youth cannot be identified due to provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

Also charged with five counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000, three counts of Theft Over $5,000 of a Motor Vehicle, two counts of Break Enter a Dwelling House and Commit an Indictable Offence, Break Enter a Place and Commit an Indictable Offence and Theft Under $5,000 from a Motor Vehicle is Justyn KELLY age 18 of Kirkland Lake, Ontario. He is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Kirkland Lake on November 27, 2014.
