INCIDENT AT TRAILER PARKS LEADS TO SEVERAL CHARGES

(HALIBURTON, ON) – On Sunday September 14, 2014 at approximately 4:18 am officers from the Haliburton Highlands Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a disturbance at the South Lake Trailer Park in the Township of Minden Hills Ontario. Police were advised of two males in a van at driving a high rate of speed, blaring loud music and doing donuts in the trailer park. Officers located the 2010 Dodge Caravan on Porkys Lane and when the intoxicated driver stepped out of the vehicle with a beer in hand he was promptly arrested. After being transported to the OPP detachment in Minden and further investigation, the driver Stephen DRAPER age 24 of Barrie Ontario was charged with the following:

Impaired Driving
Fail to Provide a Breath Sample
Drive while Prohibited
Drive Under Suspension – 2 counts
Possession of Controlled Substance – Marihuana

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Minden Ontario on November 05, 2014.
