(MIDDLESEX CENTRE, ON) – A female driver is facing charges after police received a complaint of a car that had driven onto the lawn of a local residence.
On August 8, 2014 at approximately 9:25 p.m. Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to report of a vehicle that had driven off the roadway and onto a residential lawn on Wellington Street in the Municipality of Middlesex Centre. When police arrived, it was apparent the driver of the vehicle was impaired. The driver was arrested and brought to the OPP detachment for further tests.
As a result of the investigation, police charged the driver, Sheila MCGHEE, age 68 of Middlesex Centre with Impaired Driving and Drive Motor Vehicle – Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol.
The accused was released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in a London courtroom September 11, 2014 to speak to the charges.
