(Otonabee-South Monaghan Township, ON) – Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to a collision yesterday just before 7:30pm on David Fife Line.
Officers spoke with an intoxicated male who stated that he had driven his car into the ditch. Shannon Fred Robinson (age 36) of Oshawa, ON was arrested and charged with:
Care and control of a vehicle with more than 80mg of alcohol in his blood
Care and control of a vehicle while impaired
Breach of recognizance
The accused was held in custody and will appear in Peterborough Provincial Court for a bail hearing later today.
