(KENORA, ON) Members of the Kenora Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a male for an impaired driving offence following a vehicle stop in downtown Kenora shortly before 12:00 am on Monday July 7, 2014. Police determined the driver had been consuming alcohol and was arrested for impaired driving. The driver was transported to the Kenora OPP for further tests.
As a result of this investigation, Norman FOBISTER, age 51 from Grassy Narrows First Nation has been charged with Impaired Driving and Operating a Motor Vehicle with more than .80 mg of Alcohol in 100 ml of Blood, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He was also charged with Drive while under suspension under the Highway Traffic Act. He is to appear in Kenora Court on August 14, 2014 to answer to the charges.
