(TAY TOWNSHIP) – On March 19, 2017 at approximately 6:55 p.m. members of the Southern Georgian Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Armstrong Street and Seventh Ave in Port McNicoll, Tay Township, ON.
Investigators were assisted at the scene by Tay Township Fire Services members as well as Simcoe County Paramedic Services. Both drivers were transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
As a result of the investigation, the male driver of one of the vehicles, Emerick Donald KING (age 54) of Tay Township has been charged with:
Driving While Ability Impaired contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
Driving While Disqualified contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on April 6, 2017 in Midland, ON.
