(CALEDON, ON) – The Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) would like to remind residents that illegal dumping is a crime and as taxpayers we pay the cost of clean-up. Illegal dumping is the disposing of waste in non-designated areas, such as rural areas, vacant lots and along the roadside.
Police are asking anyone who witnesses illegal dumping to call 9-1-1 immediately with vehicle and suspect information. Anyone with information about illegal dumping is asked to contact the Caledon OPP at 905-584-2241 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). You can submit information online at www.peelcrimestoppers.ca. Crime Stoppers does not subscribe to call display and you will remain anonymous. Being anonymous, you will not testify in court and your information may lead to a cash reward of up to $2,000.00.
