(ONEIDA NATION OF THE THAMES FIRST NATION, ON) – One male is facing charges following a traffic stop on Oneida Nation of the Thames First Nation.
On September 25, 2014 at approximately 11:32 p.m. Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop of an erratic driver travelling on Elijah Road. Police soon discovered the driver was impaired and had been drinking.
The driver was arrested and brought to the police detachment for further tests.
As a result of the investigation, police charged the male driver, Hoby IRELAND, age 53 of Oneida Nation of the Thames First Nation with Impaired Driving and Having Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol in Blood, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada and Drive While Under Suspension and Use Plates Not Authorized For Vehicle, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.
The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear in a London courtroom October 21, 2014 to speak to the charges.
