(Ottawa, ON) – On April 7, 2015, at approximately 2:26 pm, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Ottawa Detachment responded to a motor vehicle collision involving three vehicles on highway 417 eastbound near the Eagleson Road overpass.
One of the involved vehicles rolled over, striking another vehicle coming to rest in the ditch. The driver of the vehicle which rolled over into the ditch was transported to an Ottawa area hospital with none-life threatening injuries.
The OPP received additional calls indicting that one of the vehicles involved in the collision had fled the scene. With the assistance of the Ottawa Police Service the vehicle was located.
The female driver, 29 years old Megan May Anne BULLOCH of Mississippi Mills was charged with:
Dangerous Operation of Motor Vehicle Cause Bodily Harm;
Fail to Stop at Scene of Accident Involving Bodily Harm;
Fail to provide breath sample; and
Driving While Ability Impaired Cause Bodily Harm.
The female driver is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice, Ottawa on May 25, 2015.
The OPP is asking that if you suspect that someone is driving or about to drive impaired, call 9-1-1 and report it. If you see that someone is impaired by alcohol or other drugs and intends on driving, strongly discourage them from driving and call 9-1-1 if they insist.
