Head-On Collision – One Airlifted To Hospital

(SOUTH BRUCE PENINSULA, ON) – On July 6, 2015 at 2:37 p.m. the Bruce Peninsula Ontario Provincial police (OPP) received a report of a two vehicle head on collision along Bruce Road 13 between Spry Lake Road and Quarry Road, in the Town of South Bruce Peninsula.

Officers attended the scene with members of the South Bruce Peninsula Fire Department and Bruce County Emergency Medical Services. One passenger has been transported to a local hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries. The driver of a red Buick and the driver of a silver Pontiac have been air lifted with serious life threatening injuries.

Members of the OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation (TTCI) are assisting the Bruce Peninsula OPP with this investigation. Bruce Road 13 had been closed for seven hours and has been re-opened.

No names have been released at this time due to the on-going investigation.
