(PUSLINCH TOWNSHIP, ON) – On April 11, 2014 at approximately 11:50 p.m. members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Traffic Management Unit were on general patrol on Wellington Road 34 west of Highway 6 in Puslinch Twp. At this time and location police observed the driver of a 2007 BMW attempt to conduct a u – turn and subsequently get stuck in the ditch when the rear wheels of the vehicle left the gravel shoulder.
Officers spoke with the male driver and determined that he had been drinking. The driver was administered a Roadside Screening Device test which resulted in a fail.
Gurpartap GILL aged 58 of Morriston has been charged with Impaired Driving and Over 80 mgs contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on April 29, 2014 to answer to the charges. His driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and vehicle impounded for seven days as per statute.
