On February 21, 2016 at 7:33 p.m., the Guelph Police went to a Woodlawn Road West business to investigate a break and enter. The culprit(s) entered through an unlocked rear door. It appears the audible alarm may have halted any further entry.

On February 21, 2016 at 8:44 a.m., the Guelph Police went to an Elizabeth Street business to investigate a break and enter. The culprit(s) entered through the unlocked main door sometime overnight. A theft of a computer and fax machine is reported.

Attempt break and enter
On February 20, 2016 at 1:15 p.m., the Guelph Police went to a Nottingham Street residence to investigate an attempt break and enter. The culprit(s) damaged the front door but failed to gain access sometime between 11:30 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.

On February 19, 2016, the Guelph Police went to a Dufferin Street residence to investigate a break and enter. The culprit(s) entered through the front door sometime between 12:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. A theft of electronics is reported.

Fight downtown leads to charges
On February 21, 2016 at 2:50 a.m., the Guelph Police went to Macdonell Street for the report of a group of males fighting. Police arrived to find a large crowd gathered around the fight. Police had difficulty separating the males that were fighting and subsequently, three of them were arrested.
Cody O’Neil, 20 years of Cambridge has been charged with cause disturbance by fighting. He will appear in court on March 29, 2015.
Jacob Boudreau, 20 years of Cambridge has been charged with cause disturbance by fighting. He will appear in court on March 29, 2015.
Austen Bedore, 20 years of Guelph has been charged with cause disturbance by fighting. He will appear in court on March 29, 2015.
Care and control charges laid
On February 21, 2016 at 4:47 p.m., the Guelph Police received the report of a female sitting in a vehicle in a Willow Road parking lot with a bottle of alcohol. Police located the vehicle and found the female driver asleep. Police spoke with her and a demand was made for a roadside breath sample. She failed this test and was arrested.
Jennifer Zandbergen, 46 years of Guelph has been charged with impaired care and control and care and control over 80 mg. She will appear in court on March 4, 2016.
Collision leads to criminal charge
On February 19, 2016 at 8:55 p.m., the Guelph Police went to Wellington Street for a collision. It is alleged that after the collision occurred, a heated argument took place. A male passenger in one of the vehicles then got into the driver’s seat to move their vehicle off the roadway. He aggressively drove the truck into the parking lot of the A&W, stopped and then reversed quickly, striking another vehicle that was parked. That parked vehicle was occupied and one person had to go to hospital for treatment of minor injuries. The vehicle also sustained major front end damage. Police arrested the male driver.
Paul Bannon, 22 years of Guelph has been charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle. He will appear in court on April 5, 2016.

February 20–in the area of Wellington Street West from 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. 4 tickets issued.
February 21–in the area of Woodlawn Road/Country Club Drive from 8:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. 14 tickets issued.
February 21–in the area of Victoria Road North from 3:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. 11 tickets issued.
February 21–in the area of Edinburgh Road South/Oriole Crescent from 4:20 p.m. – 5:15 p.m. 7 tickets issued.
Individual traffic stops throughout the city – 31 tickets issued
