Man arrested on numerous charges after an assault CK16004278

Just before 3:30pm yesterday afternoon, a male party was inside a residence in Chatham when a confrontation occurred between him and the female victim’s dog. The female confronted the male and she was cut with a knife and pushed to the ground. While on the ground the male threatened to kill the female and her dog. She sustained minor injuries during the altercation and did not seek medical attention.

Police attended the residence and the male was arrested and charged with Assault with and Weapon, Assault, Utter Threats X2 and Weapons Dangerous. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Break and Enter in Chatham CK16004244

Sometime between 11am February 19th, and 8am February 20th, an unknown culprit gained entry into a Thames street residence in Chatham. Entry was gained through a window and once inside the culprit stole medication and a TV with a total value of $1000.

Female charged with failing to comply CK16004231

On September 21, 2016 the 18 year old female was released from custody with several conditions. One of those conditions stated that she was to remain in her residence daily between the hours of 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

On February 20, 2016 at 5:15am Police attended an address on Gray Street in Chatham in regards to a wanted person. At that time Police located the female hiding in a closet attempting to evade police. It was confirmed that this Gray street residence was not the females address. She has been held pending a bail hearing.

Attempt Break and Enter and Theft CK16004280

Sometime between February 18th, and February 20th, unknown culprits attempted to gain entry into a locked shed on Hall Street in Blenheim. Entry was unsuccessful but the culprits did steel a bike while leaving the residence. The bike is described as a grey Huffy cruiser bike valued at $100.
