(Oro-Medonte, ON) On Saturday October 25, 2014 at 12:45 pm, police were called to attend the Petro Canada on highway 11 northbound at Line 2, in the Township of Oro-Medonte, with regards to a collision and theft that occurred in the parking lot with the suspect leaving the scene.
A driver for Electronic Waste Company had pulled into the parking lot to pick up electronic waste. As he approached the blue bin, he noticed a male party rummaging through the bin and observed that same male pull out two drills, holding them by their cord and he observed the male throw those drills into his vehicle. The suspect male then took off out of the parking lot, making contact with front left corner of the waste collection truck and causing damage down the passenger side of his vehicle.
74 year old Frank Murphy was charged with Theft under $5000 and released on an Appearance Notice to attend Provincial court on Monday, the 8th of December, 2014.
