Earnest MAXELON – Drunk Driving

(Oro-Medonte, ON) – On Saturday October 25, 2014 at approximately 11:37 pm, a member of the public reported a vehicle southbound on highway 11 in Oro-Medonte Twp. The vehicle was reported to be weaving all over the road. Officers from the Barrie Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) located the vehicle and noticed that the vehicle was straddling the fog line. At one point the suspect vehicle was driving in both lane 2 and lane 1. Officers stopped the vehicle and after an investigation was conducted, 53-year old Earnest MAXELON of NEW TECUMSETH was charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Operation of a Motor Vehicle Over 80 milligrams Blood/Alcohol. His licence was suspended for a period of 90 days under the Administrative Drivers Licence Suspension (ADLS) program and his motor vehicle was impounded for 7 days. He is scheduled to appear at the Provincial Courts in Barrie on Monday November 17, 2014.
