FIREARMS STOLEN IN BREAK AND ENTER – HOME OWNER CHARGED

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment Investigated a Break and Enter at an Erie Avenue, Port Rowan, Norfolk County, Ontario address.

On Wednesday, October 22, 2014 between 7:45 a.m. and 5:45 p.m., unknown suspects attended the address and gained entry into an unlocked residence. Once inside, unknowns removed 2 laptop computers, 5 rifles and a shot gun.

As a result of the initial investigation, police have charged 53 year old Timothy Ross HEFFREN of Norfolk County, Ontario with careless storage of a firearm.

He is to appear in Provincial Court, Simcoe at a later date to answer to the charge.

The Break and Enter investigation is continuing and the police are seeking the publics assistance. If anyone has any information they are being asked to contact the Norfolk County OPP Detachment at 1-888-310-1122.
