(COLLINGWOOD, ONTARIO) Members of the Collingwood and The Blue Mountains detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are continuing their investigation into a fire which took place at a local high school earlier this month.
On the 14th of October 2014 at approximately 1:30pm, OPP along with the Collingwood Fire Department were dispatched to attend to the Collingwood Collegiate High School for a fire alarm. A fire was found to have been deliberately set in a washroom in the school. The school was quickly evacuated as fire crews extinguished the flames which caused approximately $75,000 in damages to school property.
No one was hurt in the incident and members of the Office of the Fire Marshal attended the scene to assist in the investigation.
