The Guelph Police will begin their annual Festive RIDE (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) campaign on December 7, 2013. The campaign will continue until after New Year’s Eve. This year, you will not drive away empty handed. Arrive Alive Ontario has supplied safety booklets that include Pizza Pizza coupons; these will be handed out to those drivers who are driving responsibly.
Year after year, the Festive RIDE program proves effective in taking impaired drivers off our roads. Impaired driving is a public safety problem year-round, but sadly the possibility of someone drinking and driving worsens during the holidays.
