(CENTRE WELLINGTON TOWNSHIP, ON) – On November 25, 2015 at approximately 5:06 p.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a R.I.D.E. program on Wellington Road 18 in front of the Centre Wellington OPP Operations Centre and spoke with a male driver of a 2003 GMC van. An open container of alcohol was observed and suspected marihuana was found. He was arrested and released at the scene with court documents.
50-year-old Lee LAND of Fergus is charged Possession of Marihuana under 30 grams contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. He is also charged with Driving a Motor Vehicle with an Open Container of Liquor contrary to the Liquor Licence Act.
He is to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on December 22, 2015.
