(Asphodel Norwood Township) – On October 12, at approximately 10:26 a.m. members of the Peterborough County OPP were called to investigate a report of a domestic dispute that occurred at Sand Road residence.
Attending officers were advised that a 36 year old female and a 50 year old male had been involved in a domestic relationship. An argument broke out between the two parties as a result of the decision to end their relationship. The argument became physical and as a result the victim reported that he had been assaulted by the female.
Officers conducted an investigation and as a result a 36 year old female resident of Asphodel Norwood has been charged with Domestic Assault. She has been released from custody and is scheduled for an October 30 appearance in Peterborough Provincial Courts to answer to the charges.
The identities of the parties involved are being withheld due to the nature of the offence.
