(TOWNSHIP OF SOUTHGATE, ON) – On Saturday, July 12, 2014 at approximately 11:45 p.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of an assault on Southgate Rd. 10 in the Township of Southgate.
Officers who were patrolling the area during a Holstein Rodeo event were approached by a female who reported that she had just been assaulted by another female in an unprovoked attack. The 25 year old victim, from Grey Highlands, suffered minor injuries to her face as a result of the assault.
The suspect was identified and arrested for assault.
Tiffany Lynne MARQUARDT, 24, of Minto Township, was charged with assault and resisting arrest. Alcohol was a factor.
She is scheduled to appear in Court in Owen Sound on Thursday, August 21, 2014.
