(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON.) – A recent vehicle stop conducted by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) resulted in the driver having her licence seized and suspended and the vehicle being towed from the scene.
On November 23, 2014 an OPP officer observed a vehicle travelling at 136km/h in an 80km/h zone on Highway 35 near Fleetwood Road. The officer subsequently stopped the vehicle and charged the driver.
Felicia HOOPER, 33 years of age, was charged with stunt driving contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. Her vehicle was towed from the scene and her driver’s licence was seized and suspended for seven days.
The accused will appear in court, in Lindsay, on January 13, 2015.
