(WASAGA BEACH, ON.) – On September 26th, 2015 at approximately 8:00 p.m. members of the Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Wasaga Beach Fire Department and Simcoe County Paramedic Service responded to a motor vehicle collision (MVC) involving a motor vehicle and a pedestrian on Main Street near Elm Street.
An initial OPP investigation revealed that a male was crossing Main Street and was struck by a northbound motor vehicle driven by a 52 year old male from Niagara Falls, Ontario.
Deceased is Thomas E. JORDAN 63 years old from Wasaga Beach.
The investigation into this fatal collision is ongoing with the assistance of the OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation Unit (T.T.C.I.).
A post mortem examination is scheduled for Monday, September 28th, 2015 in Barrie.
