FATAL MOTOR VEHICLE COLLISION – ROAD NOW RE-OPENED

(THE BLUE MOUNTAINS, ONTARIO) Officers from the Collingwood and The Blue Mountains detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have now re-opened Highway 26 which was closed earlier in the day as a result of a fatal motor vehicle collision.

On the 1st of October 2014 shortly before 8:00am, OPP along with Grey County Paramedics and The Blue Mountains Fire Department were dispatched to the scene of a 2 vehicle crash on Highway 26 between Grey Road 40 and Grey Road 2. Shortly thereafter OPP Traffic Collision Investigators were dispatched to the scene where the road remained closed for several hours during the investigation.

As mentioned above, the roadway has now re-opened however investigation is continuing into the cause of the collision.
