Male Arrested During Break In – Breach, Weapon, Methamphetamine – Name Not Released

On Wednesday, October 1, 2014, at 10:30 a.m., a citizen observed a man acting suspiciously in the 1300 block of 4th Avenue East. The man appeared to be breaking into a residence in that block. Uniform officers immediately attended.

Members of the C.O.R.E. (Community Oriented Response and Enforcement Unit) located the male as he was attempting to dispose of stolen property as the police arrived. The man was arrested and found to be in the possession of marihuana, methamphetamine and a prohibited knife.
The Township of Chatsworth man has been held in custody pending a bail hearing. He faces charges of break, enter and theft, possession of property obtained by crime, possession of methamphetamine for trafficking, possession of marihuana and possession of a prohibited weapon. The man is also charged with breaching his probation. He will appear in court Thursday morning.
