(FERGUS, ON) – On July 31, 2014 at approximately 11:30 a.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call regarding a serious collision involving two vehicles on Highway 6, just south of Fergus.
Officers responded along with Guelph-Wellington Emergency Services (EMS) and the Centre Wellington Fire and Rescue. One person was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The cause of the collision is currently being investigated and the Wellington County OPP Technical Collision Investigators (TCI) have been called to assist. Highway 6, between Second Line and Fourth Line remains closed while the investigation continues and is expected to remain closed for four to five hours.
