(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON.) – Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Norfolk County detachment is currently investigating a fatal motor vehicle collision on Old Hwy #24 south of Concession Road #7, Waterford, Norfolk County, ON.
Today, Tuesday January 28th, 2014 at approximately 1:40 pm a blue car was travelling northbound on Old Hwy #24 when for unknown reasons it crossed into the southbound lanes and collided with a brown Chev pickup truck.
The male driver and male passenger of the pickup truck sustained non – life threatening injuries and were transported by Norfolk County Paramedics to a Simcoe, ON hospital for treatment.
The female driver of the blue car was pronounced deceased at the scene by the attending Coroner.
Members of Norfolk County Fire and Rescue, Waterford Station attended the scene and assisted with the injured.
Identity of involved parties is being withheld pending notification of next of kin and investigation.
OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators are assisting with the investigation.
Old Hwy #24 at Concession Road #7 will be closed for several hours to allow for investigation.
