ALMAGUIN HIGHLANDS OPP ARREST FEMALE FOR BEING IMPAIRED BY DRUG

(ARMOUR TWP) On Wednesday January 22, 2014 at approximately 12:50 p.m. the Almaguin Highlands Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a traffic complaint on Highway 11, Armour Township. Police were advised of a dark coloured vehicle swerving on the highway. The driver eventually exited the south entrance into Burk’s Falls, where police stopped the vehicle.

Officers spoke with the driver of the vehicle and subsequently arrested the female for impaired driving. The accused, Cassandra ARNOLD (23) of South River, Ontario was charged with driving while ability impaired by drug, obstruct peace officer, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada and possession of a narcotic, contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

The accused is to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Sundridge Ontario on Thursday February 27, 2014.
