(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment is currently investigating a single motor vehicle collision at a Lynedoch Road and Highway 3, Charlotteville, Norfolk County, Ontario address.
On Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at approximately 2:21 a.m., the Norfolk County OPP, Norfolk County Fire Services and Norfolk County Paramedics responded to a single motor vehicle collision.
Investigation has determined that a vehicle was travelling eastbound on Lynedoch Road when the vehicle left the roadway entering the east ditch colliding with a tree. The vehicle subsequently caught fire which was extinguished by attending fire fighters.
The driver of the vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene by an attending Coroner.
OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators are assisting with the investigation.
Identity of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
