(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON.) – At 1:29 pm on June 14, 2015 the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was contacted in regards to an incident involving an all-terrain vehicle (ATV).
Upon arrival at the scene in the Burnt River area officers were able to determine that a 9 year old male had been injured when his ATV rolled. The male was transported via ambulance from the scene to a local hospital where he died of his injuries.
The OPP’s Technical Collision Investigation unit (TCI) is on scene to assist with the investigation.
