(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON.) – Two separate vehicle stops conducted this morning by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were as the result of excessive speed.
At approximately 6:40 a.m. an OPP officer patrolling Highway 35 observed a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed and subsequently stopped the vehicle. The driver, Jarel MORGAN, 26 years of age, of Lindsay, was charged with speeding at 130 km/h in an 80 km/h zone.
The accused will appear in court, in Lindsay, on March 25, 2014.
At approximately 7:35 a.m. an OPP officer observed a vehicle travelling at 134 km/h in an 80 km/h zone on Highway 35 and subsequently stopped the vehicle. The driver, Lance HARFORD, 45 years of age, of Lindsay, was charged with stunt driving. His driver’s licence was suspended and the vehicle was impounded.
The accused will appear in court, in Lindsay, on April 1, 2014.
