Emily CRONK – Drunk Driving, Theft Of Vehicle

(HALDIMAND COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Haldimand County Detachment has charged a 21-year-old female with drinking and driving offences after locating a vehicle at a Rainham Road, Dunnville, Haldimand County, Ontario address.

On Sunday November 13, 2016, at approximately 2:50 a.m., OPP were patrolling Rainham Road near Haldimand-Dunnville Townline when they observed a vehicle that appeared to have been involved in a collision.

OPP spoke with a female driver who said she was not injured. During the conversation, the officer detected signs of impairment by alcohol resulting in the arrest of the driver.

OPP investigated and determined that a grey GMC Terrain was travelling eastbound on Rainham Road when it left the roadway and struck a culvert.

There were no other occupants in the vehicle.

OPP has charged 21-year-old Emily CRONK of Selkirk, Ontario with impaired driving, driving over the legal limit, and taking a motor vehicle without consent.

The vehicle was towed from the scene and impounded for seven days.

She is to appear in Provincial Court in Cayuga at a later date to answer to the charges.
