(TOWN OF MINTO, ON) – On March 29, 2014 at approximately 1:45 a.m. Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were patrolling the Fifth Line, Town of Minto and went to investigate a 1993 BMW parked behind a business. The licence plates on the vehicle were stolen and the male driver and female passenger were arrested. During the investigation marihuana, methamphetamine, and brass knuckles were located.
The driver was also prohibited from operating a motor vehicle.
Michael CASSEL age 29 of Palmerston has been charged with;
-Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 -Criminal Code (C.C.)
-Possession of Marihuana Over 30 gr- Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (C.D.S.A.)
-Possession of Methamphetamine- C.D.S.A.
-Unauthorized Possession of a Weapon- C.C.
-Drive while Disqualified x 6- C.C.
He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on May 13, 2014 to answer to the charges.
Eliza DODDS age 18 of North Perth has been charged with;
-Possession of Marihuana over 30 gr- C.D.S.A.
-Possession of Methamphetamine- C.D.S.A.
She is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on May 13, 2014 to answer to the charges.
