(EAST ZORRA TAVISTOCK, ON.) – On December 4, 2016 at approximately 3:04 a.m. Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a single vehicle collision.
OPP along with Zorra Township fire department and Oxford County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded the collision that occurred on Road 68 near the 35th Line in Zorra Township.
A female passenger was transported by EMS to a local hospital with minor injuries. There were no other injuries.
As a result of investigation, the 24-year-old male driver, Alexander VANBOEKEL of East Zorra Tavistock Township was charged under the Criminal Code of Canada with the following:
Driving with More than 80 milligrams of Alcohol in Blood
Dangerous Operation of Motor Vehicle
The male was released on a Promise to Appear at Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock on January 3, 2017.
