(THUNDER BAY, ON) – On April 24, 2014 Drug Enforcement Officers of the Combined Forces Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau executed two Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) search warrants in Thunder Bay.
The first warrant was executed at an East Brock Street address. A 37-year-old male identified as Dylan LYONS of Thunder Bay was arrested and charged with:
1) Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
2) Possession of Property Obtained by Crime under $5000 contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
The second warrant was executed at a Home Avenue address. A 45-year-old male identified as Dale McDONALD, a 23-year-old male identified as Michael McDONALD, and a 28-year-old female identified as Jennifer BOON all of Thunder Bay were arrested and charged with:
1) Possession of Marihuana contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
2) Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5000 contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
3) Fail to Comply with Conditions of Undertaking contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
BOON was also charged with Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking and Possession of a Schedule III substance contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
Police investigators seized a total of 108 grams of Cocaine, eleven grams of Marihuana and five prescription pills of Ritalin with a combined potential street value of $11,060 and $8,095 in Canadian Currency.
The Combined Forces Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau consists of members from the Ontario Provincial Police – Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau, the Thunder Bay Police Service, the Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service and The Anishinabek Police Service.
