(TOWN OF ERIN, ON) – On June 27, 2014 at approximately 8:10 p.m. members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated the passenger of a 2003 Ford FX5 that was travelling on Wellington Road 23 near Side Road 17 the Town of Erin.
At this time and location, police conducted a traffic stop and upon approaching the motor vehicle, immediately detected the strong odour of burnt marihuana coming from inside the vehicle.
Police spoke with the occupants of the motor vehicle and the passenger subsequently surrendered a baggy containing marihuana as well as marihuana cigarettes.
Douglas Robert CAMPBELL aged 22 of Georgetown has been charged with Possession of Marihuana contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on August 5, 2014 to answer to the charge.
