(PUSLINCH TOWNSHIP, ON) – On October 22, 2014 at approximately 7:44 p.m. members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Traffic Management Unit (TMU) were conducting R.I.D.E. spot checks on Concession 1 near McCormmick’s Lane in Puslinch Township.
Officers investigated the occupants of a 2007 Hyundai that entered into the check point. Upon speaking with the individuals, police immediately detected the fresh odour of burnt marihuana inside the vehicle. The male passenger surrendered a substantial quantity of marihuana to police.
Andrew SWANBURG age 28 of Cambridge has been charged with Possession of Marihuana Over 30 Grams contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on November 28, 2014.
