(HAWKESBURY, ON) – On Thursday July 07th, 2016, members of the Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau (OCEB) – Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) – Community Drug Action Team (CDAT), assisted by the Hawkesbury Crime Unit of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) Search Warrant in the Town of Hawkesbury, resulting in the seizure of cannabis marihuana resin, cannabis marihuana shake, cannabis marihuana clones, methamphetamine (speed) tablets and hydromorphone pills.
Alexandre PORTELANCE (24 yrs) of Hawkesbury was arrested and charged under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act with the following sections:
– 4(1) Possession of a Schedule II substance- Cannabis Marihuana – under 30grams
– 7(1) Produce a Schedule II substance – (cannabis marihuana)
Karl PORTELANCE-LALONDE (22 yrs) of Hawkesbury was arrested and charged under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act with the following sections:
– 4(1) Possession of a Schedule II substance- Cannabis Marihuana – under 30grams
– 7(1) Produce a Schedule II substance – (cannabis marihuana)
– 4(1) Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Methamphetamine
– 4(1) Possession of a Schedule I Substance- Other Drugs
– 4(1) Possession of a Schedule II substance- Cannabis resin – over 1gram
Chantal PORTELANCE (44 yrs) of Hawkesbury was arrested and charged under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act with the following sections:
– 4(1) Possession of a Schedule II substance- Cannabis Marihuana – under 30grams
– 7(1) Produce a Schedule II substance – (cannabis marihuana)
– 4(1) Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Methamphetamine
She was also charged under the Criminal Code of Canada with the following offence:
– 733.1(1) Fail to Comply with Probation Order
All three accused were released and scheduled to appear at court on August 03rd, 2016 in L’Orignal.
