DRIVER ISSUED A THREE DAY SUSPENSION AND CHARGED WITH OPEN LIQUOR

(CHATHAM-KENT, ON) On Sunday, November 10, 2013, just before 4:00 a.m., Chatham-Kent Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers stopped a pickup truck on Highway 401 near Queens Line.

While officers were speaking with the driver of the pickup truck, 23 year old James MINERS from Tilbury, ON, they observed open containers of alcohol in the vehicle and it was determined that he had been consuming alcoholic beverages. A roadside test was completed which resulted in a warn range suspension.

The driver was served with a three day driver’s licence suspension and charged with Driving Motor Vehicle With Liquor Readily Available, contrary to the Liquor Licence Act.
